The Project
The Craigflower Pump Station in View Royal is a CRD wastewater facility designed with sustainability and neighbourhood fit in mind, incorporating native planting and low-maintenance green infrastructure as part of its overall design. Victoria Landscaping was brought in to complete the site's landscaping, tying the finished facility into its surrounding natural setting.
The Process
We installed new trees, plants, and sod across the site, along with river rock detailing to complement the building's West Coast aesthetic. A rain garden was built using native plantings and grasses, supporting on-site stormwater management. Rough and hard-to-access areas of the site were finished with hydroseeding, giving even the site's peripheral zones a healthy, established look without the cost of full sod coverage.
The Result
A fully landscaped municipal site that blends functional green infrastructure — like the rain garden — with an attractive, low-maintenance finish suited to a public facility.
