The Project
This client's old concrete patio had cracked and lifted over the years — not just an eyesore, but a genuine tripping hazard. We tore it out and built something the client actually wanted to spend time on: 600 square feet of paver patio, ready for the grill, the table, and everyone who shows up.
The Process
We removed the failing concrete pad completely, then installed concrete unit pavers in three different sizes for texture and visual interest, finished in a shadow colour tone. Steps and a small landing were built in to handle the elevation change near the door, tying the whole patio together seamlessly.
The Result
600 square feet of solid, crack-free patio space — proof that a backyard upgrade can be both functional and genuinely fun to use.
600 sq ft paver patio, replacing a cracked and lifting concrete pad
Concrete unit pavers in three sizes, shadow colour
Built-in steps managing the elevation change near the entrance
A backyard space actually built for entertaining
Unlike poured concrete, individual pavers can be lifted and replaced if one ever cracks or shifts — no need to redo the whole patio.
